Sandos Resorts handles it differently. Here’s the exact breakdown of what’s allowed, what’s not, and what the terms look like for holiday promotional stays.

Sandos Holiday Promotional Windows — The Dates

Christmas and New Year’s High Season: December 21 through January 5 (each year)

This window covers:

• Christmas Eve and Christmas Day (Dec 24–25)
• The week between Christmas and New Year’s (Dec 26–30)
• New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day (Dec 31–Jan 1)
• The first week of January through Jan 5

Promotional stays with check-in dates or stay periods falling within this window are accepted.

Easter / Holy Week (Semana Santa): Dates vary annually — typically a two-week range between late March and mid-April.

Promotional availability for Holy Week is confirmed once the year’s specific dates are set. Dates are announced here as available each year.

Available Destinations During Holiday Periods

Not every Sandos property operates identically during the holiday window. Confirmed promotional destinations:

Each destination has its own inventory allocation during peak holiday periods. Some properties fill faster than others. Cancún and Cabo tend to have the most demand.

What’s Included — Holiday Stays

All Sandos promotional stays — including holiday window bookings — are fully all-inclusive. The package covers meals, drinks, beach and pool access, non-motorized water sports, and resort programming.

Holiday-specific programming varies by property and year. New Year’s Eve countdown events, Easter week themed activities, and Christmas holiday programming are generally offered but should be confirmed at time of booking.

What’s Different About Holiday Bookings

A few things to know that differ from standard off-peak promotional stays:

Inventory is tighter. The promotional block during holiday periods is smaller than off-peak months. The same promotional rate structure applies, but you’re competing with higher overall demand. Inquire earlier.

Extra guests and nights are by quote. The standard promotion covers two adults. Children, additional adults, extended nights before December 21 or after January 5 (or outside the Easter window), and room upgrades are all handled by individual quote. This is true year-round but matters more during holidays when groups tend to be larger.

Booking lead time matters. 60–90 days ahead of your target holiday dates is the recommended window. Inquiring in early October for Christmas, or by January for Easter, puts you in the best position.

The Presentation Requirement

Same as any Sandos promotional stay: you attend a 90-minute resort presentation (the tour) during your stay. No obligation to purchase anything. The presentation is the condition of the promotional rate, not a commitment to buy.

Holiday week doesn’t change this structure — you attend the same 90-minute tour regardless of whether you’re there in January or July.
