What are the age requirements for promotional packages?

For US and Canada couples, at least one partner must be between 28 and 70 years old. For Mexico, the age range is 30-65 years old. Both partners must present valid photo ID showing age and same address, or provide a marriage certificate, or proof of children in common.

What is the income requirement?

For US and Canadian customers, combined annual income must be at least $60,000 USD. For Mexico, the requirement is at least $35,000 MXN (Mexican Pesos) per month. Income must be verifiable through employment.

Do I have to buy a membership?

No. There is no obligation to purchase anything during or after the promotional stay. You attend the approximately 90-120 minute presentation to learn about Royal Elite Vacation Club benefits, and then you make your own decision. Your discounted vacation package is guaranteed regardless of whether you decide to join the club.

Can I bring children on the promotional package?

Children are welcome at family-friendly Sandos resorts: Sandos Playacar, Sandos Caracol, and Sandos Finisterra. At these resorts, children can participate in kids clubs and babysitting is available during your presentation. Sandos Cancun is adults-only (18+) and does not allow children.

Who Qualifies for Promotional Rates

To qualify for our promotional packages, ALL of the following requirements must be met:

Married or cohabitating couples — at least one partner must be between 28 and 70 years old. Both must present valid photo ID showing age and same address, OR marriage certificate, OR proof of children in common.
Combined annual income of at least $60,000 USD
Steady full-time employment — part-time does not qualify. Retirees accepted only if one partner has a legally recorded job (pensions alone do not qualify).
Valid major credit card — Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover. Must be personalized (not corporate, not digital-only, not debit cards).
US or Canadian citizens — at least one partner must be natural-born (birth certificate or passport required). If one partner is not natural-born, they must be a citizen or permanent resident (temporary residence does not apply). Puerto Rico and Quebec/Montreal residents do not qualify.
Valid ID with signature — passport or driver’s license (no federal restrictions), showing age and matching address.
Fluent in English or Spanish — must be able to read and sign a legally binding agreement without a translator.

The Sales Presentation Requirement

Both partners must attend together a 90–120 minute Sales Presentation of the Royal Elite Vacation Club at the resort.
The presentation cannot be scheduled on your first day, last day, January 1st, or December 25th.
You cannot have other appointments scheduled on the same day as your presentation.
It is your responsibility to contact the concierge upon arrival to schedule your presentation.

The $750 Guarantee Deposit

At check-in, the resort will place a $750 USD hold on your credit card. This is NOT a charge — it is released when you check out, provided you attended the presentation and met all requirements.

If you fail to meet the requirements or skip the presentation, you forfeit the promotional rate and must pay the full rack rate for your stay.

Who Does NOT Qualify

The following people cannot participate in this promotion:

Travel agency employees
Current, former, or retired vacation club employees
Single travelers (couples only)
Anyone who has previously attended a Sandos Vacation Club presentation
Current or former Royal Elite members
Anyone who attended another resort sales presentation within 30 days before or after this stay
Anyone arriving at the same destination before their Sandos check-in date
Group travel, weddings, or conventions
Friends or family traveling together on separate reservations (none will qualify)

How People Get Caught — And What Happens

These are not hypothetical warnings. These are the most common violations we’ve seen in over a decade of operating promotional programs — and they result in real consequences every time.

Double-Booking Through Multiple Vendors

If you and friends each book through different promotional vendors for the same resort and overlapping dates, the resort will catch it. They accept only 4–6 promotional couples per five-day block — everyone checks in around the same time, often arriving on the same flight. When the resort identifies connected parties on separate contracts, all reservations are cancelled and all parties are charged the full retail rack rate. No exceptions. No refunds from us or any other vendor. If you want to travel with friends, book together on one contract (see Two-Couple Travel below).

Traveling With Friends or Family on Separate Reservations

Two couples cannot book separate promotional reservations and travel to the same resort on overlapping dates — even if booked through different vendors. The resort cross-references all promotional arrivals. If you are found to know each other, both couples lose their promotional rate. The solution: both couples go on one contract. Couple 1 gets the base promotional rate. Couple 2 pays the per-person-per-night extra rates — still a massive discount compared to retail. Declare it upfront and travel legally.

Attending Multiple Presentations

If you have previously attended a Sandos or Royal Elite Vacation Club presentation at any time in the past, you do not qualify. If you attended any other resort’s promotional presentation within 30 days before or after your Sandos stay, you do not qualify. The resort checks, and this is verified at check-in.

Not Giving the Presentation Your Time

This is not a quick pitch at a hotel conference room where you collect a gift card and leave after 10 minutes. Royal Elite Vacation Club is a legitimate program, and the presentation runs approximately two hours. You agreed to attend it in exchange for saving over $1,000 on your vacation. Go in with an open mind, learn what the club offers, and make your own decision. If it is not for you, simply say no — your discounted vacation is guaranteed regardless. But if you attempt to disrupt the presentation or leave early, you are wasting your own vacation time and damaging the program for future guests.

The Consequences Are Real

If you fail to meet any qualification requirement, violate any term of your reservation agreement, or are found to have provided false information:

Your promotional reservation is cancelled immediately
The full retail rack rate is charged to the credit card on file
Money previously paid to SandosPromo is NOT applied toward the rack rate
SandosPromo cannot override the resort’s decision
All interactions are recorded and documented — every phone call, every signed agreement, every qualification verification
Fraud — including chargebacks on legitimate reservations, lying about qualifications, or coordinating prohibited double-bookings — will be pursued through formal legal channels

Two-Couple Travel (One Contract)

Want to travel with another couple? Here is how to do it properly:

Both couples are declared on one reservation agreement
Couple 1 receives the base promotional package rate
Couple 2 pays the per-person-per-night extra rates for their room (still significantly discounted vs. retail)
Alternatively, both couples can split the total cost evenly
A second room is booked under the same contract (up to 2 rooms allowed per reservation)
All adults from both couples must attend the presentation together
Children are welcome at family-friendly resorts (Playacar, Caracol, Finisterra) — the resorts offer kids clubs and babysitting during the presentation

This is the only way two couples can legally travel together under the promotional program. Separate reservations for connected parties are a violation that results in cancellation for everyone.

Non-Transferable

This package is non-transferable. The name on the reservation must match the travelers. No exceptions.

What Happens If You Don’t Qualify

If you arrive and do not meet the requirements:

Your promotional reservation is cancelled
You must pay the full rack rate to stay
Money paid to us is NOT applied toward the rack rate
