Before anyone buys a Royal Elite membership, they attend a vacation club presentation. Here’s the sequence — no surprises:

2. Book your stay at a discounted promotional rate ($199–$399 is typical)
3. Attend the presentation — resort tour, Royal Elite overview, a one-time membership offer. Usually 90–120 minutes over breakfast or lunch.
4. Decide freely — the discounted stay is yours whether you join or not
5. Enjoy the rest of your trip

The sales process is a real sales process. A rep will make a case for membership and put a number in front of you. If you’re not interested, saying no ends the conversation. A lot of travelers do this every few years specifically as a way to access these resorts at promotional rates without ever buying.
